    • Chandigarh, July 14–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that cinema can make a significant role in bringing Haryana’s rich culture at the national and international level. Besides, films can also play an important role in addressing social problems. 
    •  Mr Manohar Lal said this while interacting with noted bollywood actor, Mr Rajkumar Rao, who called on him at his residence, here today.
    • Congratulating Mr Rao for the significant contribution made by him in giving recognition to Haryana in Bollywood, the Chief Minister said the state’s film policy would be launched very soon for the promotion of Haryanvi films. It would make a huge contribution to the promotion of Haryana’s art and culture within the country and abroad. He asked Mr Rao to make movies showcasing the history and culture of the state. 
    • On the request of Mr Rao to provide subsidies to filmmakers for shooting in Haryana, the Chief Minister said all such issues would be addressed in the film policy. 
    • Mr Rao said he was ready to contribute towards the promotion of the rich cultural heritage of Haryana. He invited the Chief Minister for preview screening of his upcoming film “Newton”, which would be released in September. 
    • Among those present on the occasion included Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mr Amit Arya, National President and In-charge (North India), Forum for Awareness on National Security (FANS), Ms Reshma H. Singh, Director of Newton, Mr Amit, Co-Producer, Ms Kanupriya, and Secretary, FANS, Mr Vagish Dutt.
