    • Chandigarh, Aug 11 – Haryana government has decided to create a contingency fund of Rs one crore in each district in the state to meet the wage requirement of contractual employees in case of any delay in payment. 
    • This decision was taken in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Marnohar Lal with a delegation of Sarv Karamchari Sangh, Haryana here this evening.
    • He also gave assurance that a decision to give the benefit of revised allowances as per the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission would soon be taken. He also directed to constitute a Committee to examine all aspects about various allowances. The committee would submit its report within three months. 
    • Every Deputy Commissioner will have a contingency fund of Rs one crore in each district. They could sanction monthly wages of employees from this fund in case contractual employee did not get their salary upto 10th of every month due to any reason.
    • The Chief Minister also urged Sarv Karamchari Sangh to motivate government employees to pay their electricity bills regularly. He also directed the power department officials to conduct a survey in this direction. He said that Haryana will become the first state where 1135 villages would have facility of 24 hours power supply from August 15, 2017.
    • On the demand regarding grant of 7th pay commission to the employees of Boards and Corporations, he said that this facility had already been given to a number of boards and corporations and cases of others are under process. Proposal from all pending cases of boards and corporations would be invited within a month so that they would get benefit at the earliest. 
    • On the demand for cashless treatment facility, the Chief Minister directed that initially health issues of serious nature like heart attack and fatal accident should be included in cashless treatment facility. He also directed to examine and empanel atleast one best hospital in every district. 
    • On the request regarding grant of leave to women employees in case of hysterectomy, he said that the issue would be examined. He said that priority of the government to recruit regular employees. Apart from this, government has already given 14.29 per cent hike in wages and honorarium of contractual and outsourced employees as per the 7th pay commission. 
    • Those present in the meeting included Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Rajesh Khullar, President Sarv Karamchari Sangh Mr Dharambir Phogat, General Secretary Mr Subhash Lamba and other senior officers of government and representatives of the sangh.
