    • Chandigarh, Sept 9--The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has described the incident at Ryan International School, Gurugram, involving the murder of seven-year-old Pardyuman as sad and unfortunate and the crime as heinous. The district administration has arrested the conductor and the police have taken three-day remand of the accused.
    • Interacting with media persons in New Delhi today, the Chief Minister conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family and said. “My sympathies are with the parents of Pardyuman who have lost their son”, he added.
    • Mr Manohar Lal directed the administration to complete all the formalities and submit a challan within seven days. The court would be urged to give severe punishment to the accused.
    • Reports have been sought on the shortcomings of the school authorities and from the District Education Officer and Block Education Officer. The school management has suspended the Principal. It is also in the process of changing the security agency. If any negligence is found, action will be taken, he added. 
    • In reply to a question, the Chief Minister said the Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, had been directed to ensure arrangement of safety and CCTVs in schools, and a circular would also be issued in this regard.  
    • Asked to comment on the level of investigations, he said high level investigation was not required if all facts were clearly presented. If it is found that facts have been hidden in any way, every kind of investigation would be conducted.
