    • Chandigarh, Nov 9–China has evinced keen interest in investing in Haryana in the fields of industrial infrastructure, steel industry, electronic and automobile projects. 
    • This view was expressed by a delegation from Hubei Province of China, led by the Vice-Governor, Mr Wang Xiaodong, which called on the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, in New Delhi, today.
    • Lauding the state government for its achievement in the Ease of Doing Business in which Haryana reached second place, Mr Xiaodong said Haryana had emerged as one of the most preferred investment destinations for them in India. Chinese entrepreneurs, especially from Hubei, are getting more opportunities with the change of policies for the flourishing industrial and investment sector in Haryana. 
    • The Chief Minister told the delegation that the state government had implemented various new provisions with regard to the industrial policy to attract foreign investment in the state.
    • Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi, Mr Anand Mohan Sharan, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Mr Raj Shekhar Vundru, Chairman, Foreign Investment and NRI Cell, Mr Ashwin Johar, Director, Industries, Mr Ashok Sangwan, and members of the Chinese delegation were also present at the meeting.

    • Chandigarh, Nov 9— The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today unveiled the statue of Kushal Singh Dahiya who made the sacrifice of his own life to  ensure that the head of Guru Tegh Bahadur could reach Anandpur Sahib. The statue was unveiled at Badhkhalsa Memorial Complex, Rai, in Sonepat.
    • While dedicating the statue of Kushal Singh Dahiya to the people, the Chief Minister urged them to draw inspiration from the sacrifice made by Kushal Singh. He also assured people of Badhkhalsa village that the issue of land would be resolved at the earliest. The technical hurdle of stamp duty has already been removed, he added.
    • Referring to the historical event of the sacrifice, Mr Manohar Lal said when Guru Tegh Bahadur was executed during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in India, the guru’s disciple was trying to take Guruji's head to Anandpur Sahib. 
    • On the way when Kushal Singh stopped here, he realised that Aurangzeb's army would not let it happen. So, he offered his own head as his face bore resemblance to Guru ji to cheat the army of Aurangzeb. “It was an act of great courage and sacrifice. His sacrifice is immortal”, he added.
    • Mr Manohar Lal said probably due to this historical event that the village was named Badhkhalsa.

    • Chandigarh, Nov 9--The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has said that Ayurveda can be called the fifth Veda as this system of medicine completely cures diseases. The state government is working hard to promote AYUSH as well as allopathy, Unani and natural sysyems of medicine
    • The Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Lala Khem Chand Charti Lal Goel Government Ayurvedic Dispensary to be established in the ancestral shop of the Union Minister of State, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics and Programme Implementation, Mr. Vijay Goel, in Jharoth village of Sonipat district, today.
    • The Ayurvedic dispensary is a big gift to the people of the village and the nearby areas. Mr Goel has dedicated his ancestral mansion and shop to the people of the area.
    • Mr. Manohar Lal said in order to promote Ayuveda in the state, Ayurvedic AIIMS would be set up over 20 acres of land in Panchkula. Besides, Shri Krishna Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra, has been upgraded to the level of university, and a Government Unani Medical College and Hospital has been established in Nuh.
    • The building of Ayurvedic College in Patikra village is ready and it would start functioning next year. Apart from this, a training centre is being started by the Central Council of Yoga and Naturopathy in Jhajjar. A 120-bedded hospital and National Research Institute of Unani would also be set up in Faridabad, he added.
    • The Chief Minister said the state government planned to give AYUSH a big push in the state. At present, three Ayurvedic hospitals, 19 Homeopathic and 458 Ayurvedic dispensaries are already functioning across the state.
    • Appreciating the efforts of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, in promoting Yoga at the international level and getting declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, the Chief Minister said this had enhanced the pride of India in the world.
    • Fulfilling the demands of both panchayats of villages Anandpur and Jharoth, he announced to give Rs 2 crore and assured the people that there would be no dearth of funds for the development of Sonipat.  
    • Terming Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway as a boon for the area, he said industrial areas would be developed on both sides of the expressway which would generate employment opportunities for local youth.
    • Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State, Mr Vijay Goel, said Haryana had been making rapid strides under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal. Mr Narendra Modi at the Centre and Mr. Manohar Lal in Haryana have been working 24 hours for the welfare of people.
    • Those present included Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain, Member of Parliament, Mr. Ramesh Kaushik, and other dignitaries.
