    • Chandigarh November 29: In a significant move in the interest of Below Poverty Line (BPL) as well as Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY) families in the State, the Haryana Government has decided to provide one kilogram sugar at the rate of Rs 13 per kilogram every month to all about 11.31 lakh BPL families including the AAY families. In addition each of these families would also be provided one liter mustard oil of Hafed at the rate of Rs 20 per liter every month. These decisions would be applicable with effect from January 1, 2018.
    • These and several other decisions were taken in a meeting presided over by Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today. Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj and Chairman, Hafed, Mr Harvinder Kalyan were also present in the meeting. 
    • At present, one kilogram sugar was being provided to about 2.63 lakh AAY families in the State. With today’s decision 8.68 lakh BPL families would also start getting one kilogram sugar. The beneficiary families would get the sugar and mustard oil at the rate of Rs 13 per kg and Rs 20 per kg respectively whereas the remaining amount would be borne by the State Government as subsidy.
    • It was also decided in the meeting that fortified wheat flour enriched with essential vitamins and minerals would be provided in two blocks namely Brara and Naraingarh of district Ambala in the first phase under the Public Distribution System, Mid Day Meal scheme and the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) through Hafed Floor Mill, Taraori, district Karnal. The Chief Minister directed Hafed to follow prescribed standards while supplying fortified wheat flour and also enhance its capacity to meet the requirement for the entire state. 
    • It was also decided that a regulation would be brought to ensure that only packed fortified mustard oil is sold in the market.
    • Among those present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Deputy Principal Secretary Mr Mandeep Singh Brar, Additional Chief Secretary, Women and Child Development Department Mr S.S Dhillon, Additional Chief Secretary, Food and Supplies, Mr Ram Niwas, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Mrs Navraj Sandhu, Managing Director Hafed Mr Shekhar Vidyarthi and other senior officers of the State Government.
    • Chandigarh November 29: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today directed to appoint Nodal Officers in each district of the State to identify the ideal land requirement of different departments for various development projects so that the same could be met out of the land offered by the farmers voluntarily for sale on the e-bhoomi portal. 
    • Mr. Manohar Lal was presiding over a meeting to review the functioning of e-Bhoomi portal of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) here today. He said that concerned District Revenue Officer (DRO) could be appointed as the Nodal Officer for this purpose. 
    • The Chief Minister said that as now the  small chunks of land at different places could be consolidated at a single place for development purposes, a team of consolidation experts should be constituted in each district for the speedy execution of this work. He directed that as the State Government has decided to develop the two kilometers area on both sides of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, the land requirement for  the same should be prominently highlighted on the e-bhoomi portal so that the farmers could come forward with the land offers.  He also directed to make the registration process for aggregators more liberal and also organize workshops for them so as to acquaint them with the entire process.
    • Among those present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary,  Revenue Mrs Keshni Anand Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Mr P.K Das, Principal Secretary, Industries Mr Sudhir Rajpal, Managing Director, HSIIDC Mr Raja Sekhar Vundru, Principal Sectary, Town and Country Planning Mr Arun Kumar Gupta, Chief Co-Ordinator Industries Mr Sunil Sharma and other senior officers of the State Government.
