    • Chandigarh, May 10- The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has invited Israeli Aerospace Industry (IAI) to set up ancillary units in the Hisar Aviation Hub being set up by the Haryana  Government.
    • He has also invited the consortium of cyber security companies under Israel aviation industry to set up base in Haryana which houses top 200 companies in the world.
    • The Chief Minister extended the invitation during his visit to the IAI where he was explained by Israeli officials the innovations made in the field of aerospace and defence Industry. During the discussions, officials from IAI evinced keen interest in the aviation hub and agreed to visit Hisar next month.
    • It is pertinent to mention here that IAI has entered into $1billion contract with Government of India under which it is obliged to invest or procure 30 per cent material from the local market. The officials assured to explore Haryana as a top priority.
    • When IAI explained its strength in combating cyber attacks and efficiency in cyber security, the Chief Minister asked the consortium of cyber security companies under Israel aviation industry to set up base in Haryana.
    • He also visited the manufacturing plant of Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAV) and jets, took keen interest in the process of making planes and invited IAI to set up ancillary units in the proposed Hisar Aviation Hub.
    • Mr Manohar Lal invited different sections of aviation like FBO (fixed based Operations) MRO, and manufacturing units to come and be a part of the upcoming revolutionary project in Haryana.
    • He explained that Hisar being a brownfield airport, it enjoyed other advantages like proximity to Delhi International Airport as well as to the proposed industrial corridor, has less humid atmosphere which is vital and essential for UAV and other defence materials.
    • The Chief Minister explained how Hisar aviation hub could be made into a manufacturing base for Israeli aviation industry from where the entire south-eastern market can be served as it enjoyed strategic geographical location.

    • Mr Manohar Lal discussed with officials issues likely to come up at a series of meetings lined up in UK. He will also meet industry biggies, especially in health as well as aviation segments.

    • Chandigarh, May 10--The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today met Under Secretary, National Health Service, UK, in his office in London, and discussed with him in detail how the NHS is funded. He also noted the game-changing IT initiatives taken by the UK to ensure flawless implementation of the scheme.
    • He took active interest in minute details of the NHS to cope with the challenges that might arise following implementation of the Comprehensive Cashless Healthcare Assurance Scheme to be implemented by the Haryana Government in the state. The scheme was announced by the Government of India.

    • Chandigarh, May 10--The visit and interaction Haryana Police delegation had with Israeli counterparts in Israel is being seen as a big step in the direction of introducing new ideas and technologies to equip and enable the police force to serve the people of Haryana better in keeping with the vision of the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal.
    • The team of officers of Haryana Police, led by Mr Mohammed Akil, ADGP, Law and Order, and including Mr Navdeep Singh Virk, IGP, Rohtak Range, and Mr Anil Kumar Rao, IG CID, Haryana, are currently visiting Israel as part of the high-level delegation led by the Chief Minister. 
    • The idea behind the visit of police delegation is to learn from Israeli experts how to improve efficacy and efficiency of the law- and-order machinery to check crime and beef up security and intelligence network of the Haryana Police. The team is also exploring availability of latest technologies which could be introduced in Haryana to further improve security and the law-and-order situation in the state.
    • During the visit, the delegation interacted with several Israeli organisations, both government and private, and went round their facilities. The specific areas discussions centered on included prison communication access management, drones and the re-drone system, intelligence collection and analysis, counter-terror training, perimeter security and Smart City solutions. Israeli companies offer best solutions in several such fields.
    • The delegation also visited headquarters of the United Hatzalah of Israel, along with the Chief Minister. United Hatzalah runs emergency rescue operations across Israel based on volunteers. It is a unique model across the globe which gave the police team several new ideas.
