    • Chandigarh August 9: On the auspicious occasion of Shivratri today, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, visited Baba Bhurstha Temple in village Rathiwas, district Mahendergarh where he performed Jalabhishek by offering water on the Shivling and also participated in Yajna.
    • While addressing the people on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he prayed for the welfare of people and development of the State. May Lord Shiva keep showering his blessings on the people, he added.
    • He said that due to the blessings of Lord Shiva, he got an opportunity to perform Jalabhishek at Baba Bhurstha Temple here.
    • Earlier, Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival at village Rathiwas.
    • Among those present on this occasion included Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Deputy Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mrs Santosh Yadav, Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations and other prominent people.

    • Chandigarh August 9: Haryana Government has decided to launch the Ayushman Bharat-Haryana Health Protection Mission in the State on August 15, 2018 to provide cashless and paperless healthcare treatment facility to the eligible beneficiaries in the empanelled government hospitals of the State. On pilot basis, the scheme would be implemented in one government hospital each in all 22 districts, one ESI hospital and one Medical College.
    • A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today. Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij and Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu were also present in the meeting.
    • Under the Ayushman Bharat-Haryana Health Protection Mission, the identified families under Socio Economic and Caste Census (SECC) would be provided benefit coverage of Rs five lakh. Every family figuring in the defined SECC 2011 database would be entitled to claim benefit under the scheme. Each beneficiary would be issued a card with a unique QR code and he would have to produce it in hospital he is visiting for treatment.
    • The Chief Minister directed to ensure that sufficient stock of required medicines is available in these hospitals so that patients need not purchase it from outside.
    • It was informed that all necessary arrangements have been made for the pilot launch of Ayushman Bharat-Haryana Health Protection Mission in the State. It was informed that 15.50 lakhs families including 925014 rural and 626761 urban figures in SECC 2011 database would be entitled to claim benefit. It was also informed that 58 government and 32 private hospitals in the State would be empanelled for successful implementation of the scheme by August 15, 2018 for the pilot project. Process is in progress to empanel more hospitals under the scheme. Out of 1,350 treatment packages provided by Government of India, about 266 packages would be reserved by the State Government for public care health system in government hospitals of the state.
    • The Department of Medical Education and Research has been asked to empanel the Medical Colleges or hospitals in the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Similarly, Labour Department has been asked to empanel the ESI Medical College and hospitals under the scheme.
    • It was informed that Ayush Mitra would be appointed in all empanelled government hospitals which would assists the patients visiting the hospitals in availing the facilities under the scheme. Apart from this, training Programme of all Chief Medical Officers (CMO’s) and  Nodal Deputy CMO’s was conducted at Panchkula for the implementation of this scheme.
    • Earlier, the Chief Minister launched the website of Ayushman Bharat-Haryana Health Protection Mission. It was informed that the public and private sector hospitals can apply online for empanelment under the scheme by visiting the website http://ayushmanbharatharyana.in. It was also informed that 74 applications from private hospitals have been accepted on the website and their physical verification is being conducted for empanelment.
    • Among those present in the meeting included Chief Secretary  Mr D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Mr Ram Niwas, Additional Chief Secretary , Health Mr R.R Jowel, Additional Chief Secretary, Medial Education and Research Mr Amit Jha, Principal Secretary Labour Dr Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Mr TVSN Prasad, Director AYUSH and CEO Ayushman Bharat – Haryana Health Protection Authority Dr Saket Kumar and other senior officers of the State Government.

    • Chandigarh, Aug 9 – Haryana Civil Aviation Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that the first airport of Haryana would become duly functional from August 15 this year for which all arrangement have been made.
    • In a statement issued here today, the Minister said that with a view to provide affordable air travel facility to people, the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi had launched UDAN Scheme to increase regional air connectivity. He said that the Hisar airport has been linked with this scheme. The Hisar airport would be first licensed airport of the state.
    • He said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would inaugurate the airport on August 15 and the same day the air services from Hisar to Chandigarh and Delhi would be started.
    • The Minister said that in order to avail the maximum benefit of increasing opportunities in civil aviation sector, the government has decided to expand the existing air strips at five airports in the state. He said that four air strips at Karnal, Pinjore, Bhiwani and Narnaul would be expanded up to 5,000 feet so that medium sized planes could be provided the facility of parking, sub-basing, flying training alongwith other several activities. For this, the Department had already got published Expression of Interest.
    • Rao Narbir Singh said that the air strips would be further extended up to 9,000 feet by the end of next year for betting landing facilities. Under this second phase, facilities such as parking, basing and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) would be made available.
