  • Chandigarh November 19 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that students of other poor families of the state will also get the benefit of meritorious scholarship scheme being provided to scheduled castes and backward classes in the state. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at a programme organized by Ambedkar Samaj Kalyan Sabha on the inauguration of Dr. Ambedkar Bhutal Bhawan, Sector 16, in Karnal on Thursday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the construction of the first floor of Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan and to convert the existing library built in the Bhavan building into an e-library.
  • Wishing the members of the Ambedkar Sabha on the inauguration of the Ambedkar Bhawan, the Chief Minister said that Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar gave a strong constitution to the country. Today, due to our Constitution, the country is politically, administratively and organizationally strong. The Chief Minister said that he considers himself fortunate enough that he had got an opportunity to inaugurate the building named after Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.  It is pertinent to mention that the Bhumi Pujan of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bhawan was also done by Chief Minister Manohar Lal on July 8, 2015. More than Rs 50 lakh has been given by the government for construction of this building.
  • The Chief Minister said that Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar's dream was to uplift every poor family and he always worked to help the poor and downtrodden in his life. The present government is also moving forward with the same objective and with the spirit of Antyodaya is working for the welfare of every section of the society. For this, the government has launched several public welfare schemes. 
  • He said that along with the scholarship to the students of poor families, the government is continuously increasing facilities in the field of education, for which education budget has also been increased. Today, youth are getting jobs on the basis of merit in the state as they do not have to bribe anymore to get jobs, said the Chief Minister. At the programme, members of Dr. Ambedkar Samaj Kalyan Sabha welcomed the Chief Minister by honouring him with a turban and they also honoured the Chief Minister and other guests by presenting mementos.
  • On this occasion Mayor, Municipal Corporation Karnal, Mrs.  Renu Bala Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Mr.  Nishant Kumar Yadav and Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ganga Ram Punia and other dignitaries were also present in the programme.
     
  • Chandigarh November 19: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that with the objective of providing health facilities to every person, Vyayamshalas and Ayush Health and Wellness Centres are being opened in rural areas of the state so as to ensure that people residing there are getting free of cost health facilities at their doorsteps.
  • The Chief Minister visited the Ayush Health and Wellness Centre set up at Ramba in Karnal district today and sought information from the team of doctors about the facilities being provided at the centre.
  • The Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner Karnal, Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav to implement the work of constructing a Vyayamshala on at least one acre of land in the village so as to ensure that people of the rural areas can exercise to improve their health.
  • MLA, Mr. Ram Kumar Kashyap, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Nishant Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ganga Ram Punia and other officials were present on the occasion.
     
  • Chandigarh November 19: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to extend the duration of special parole or interim bail granted to as many as 4585 prisoners including 1459 under trial prisoners and 3126 convicts upto December 31, 2020 in view of the prevalent COVID-19 situation.
  • Sharing more details about the same, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal on the recommendation of the High Powered Committee, headed by Mrs. Justice Daya Chaudhary, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh and Executive Chairman, Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Panchkula, in its meeting dated November 12, 2020, has approved a proposal in this regard.
  • These prisoners have been granted special parole or interim bail on the directions issued by the Supreme Court of India on March 23, 2020, in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No. 1/2020- In RE: Contagion of COVID-19 in prisons. However, concerned authorities shall be free to cancel the special parole or interim bail as the case may be, in case any complaint regarding misuse of special parole or interim bail is received against any convict or under trial prisoner.
     
  • Chandigarh November 19 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has announced that the main road leading from Karnal to Ladwa will now be made four-lane till Ladwa. Earlier, this route was being made four-lane from Karnal to Khanpur village of Block Indri. The Chief Minister said that he is very happy that an attractive municipality building has been constructed here.
  • He said that in the year 2015, it was announced to build a municipal building and shopping complex and now a very attractive building and shopping complex has been constructed. In the Indri Vidhan Sabha constituency, a grand shopping complex and municipality building have been constructed at a cost of about Rs. 4.50 crore, out of which the newly built shopping complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.19 crore and municipal office building at a cost of Rs. 2.23 crore.
  • He said that a part of the municipal building has been developed commercially so as to generate income through which small expenses can be met. The government will promote the concept of Atmanirbhar by announcing such projects. He said that there will be no shortage of money to carry out development works. Development work had stalled due to COVID-19, but now all development works will be expedited.
  • The Chief Minister said that in order to make people belonging to BC-A category self-reliant and to promote art skills, Skill Development Centres are being opened by the Government so that these people can also improve their livelihood through self-employment.
  • On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Ganga Ram Punia and officers of various departments were present.
