  • Chandigarh, February 29 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will inaugurate community centers built at a cost of about Rs 351.81 lakh from the villages Kachhwa, Pundrak, Dabri in Karnal tomorrow. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also address villagers of Kachhwa village.
  • Giving information in this regard, the district administration spokesman said that the community center has been constructed in the village Kachhwa through the Panchayat Department at a cost of Rs 132.72 lakh. The covered area of this building is 8,630 square feet, this community center has a large hall, veranda, three rooms, one library, one store, staircase construction, watch room, kitchen, gate with a seating area for 500 people. The construction of parking and washrooms is complete. The construction of this center will facilitate the people of the village to organize marriages, ceremonies, cultural and religious programs.
  • He informed that the community center has been constructed in the village Pundarak through the Panchayat Department at a cost of Rs 119.51 lakh. The covered area of this building is 8,000 square feet, this community centre has a big hall with a seating area for 350 people, verandah, three rooms, one library, staircase construction, kitchen, construction of boundary wall, including gate, parking, women, and men.
  • The spokesman said that the Sikh Community Center has been constructed through the Panchayat Department at a cost of Rs 99.58 lakh in village Dabri. In the said amount, Rs 32 lakh was included as a contribution by the people. The covered area of this building is 6,500 square feet, a large hall in this center, construction of staircase, construction of boundary wall including gate, parking has been constructed.
  • Chandigarh, February 29-  Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today said that taking the requirement of doctors in the state, we have increased the number of intake in medical colleges  from 750 students per year to 1710. This year 1710 students were given admission in medical colleges of the state, whereas in 2014 when the BJP government formed, the intake capacity of all medical colleges was 750 seats every year.
  • The Chief Minister was speaking at the 7th annual convocation of  SGT University, Budhera in  district Gurugram  today. He inaugurated the Convocation by lighting the traditional lamp. In today’s convocation, degrees were awarded to 172 students, including 137 MBBS, 21 MD or MS and 7 PhD degrees. Apart from these, two persons were awarded honorary PhD degrees. The Chief Minister also released a souvenir of the university .
  • In his address, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that there is a great need for medical education in Haryana. According to international norms, there should be one doctor per 1000 population. The total population of Haryana is around 2.75 crores, meaning thereby,  there should be 27500 doctors including doctors working in government hospitals and private hospitals. Currently there are about 13 thousand doctors. To meet the shortage of doctors in the state, the present BJP government has taken steps and increased the MBBS intake either by increasing the seats in existing medical colleges or opening new colleges. As a result, now there are 1710 seats in medical colleges here. Earlier, there were only 750 admissions every year. At the same time, the Chief Minister said that he desires to increase the number of intake to 2500 per year.
  • Referring to the Haryana budget presented in state Assembly on Friday, the Chief Minister said that while preparing the budget usually the Finance Minister is concerned about the CM's priorities. This time, since he is the Finance Minister in addition to being the Chief Minister but he also worried about the CM, that is, the ‘Common Man’ while preparing the budget. “ We should all worry about it”, he said. He asked the students that  after passing out from the college,  they should go in the society with a sense of service. He also reminded that in childhood, he used to hear lines - 'Come to learn, go to serve', they should practice that saying in real life.
  • Congratulating all the passing out students who obtained degrees in the convocation today, the Chief Minister said that the convocation is a special occasion when you leave the educational institution and take to work in the society or go for further higher education.  He said that no matter where we live, always remember the institution that has made us able to serve. Shri Manohar Lal said, “wherever you go in the world during your lifetime, remember that  we  are from India, we are from Haryana and leave a mark of our rich culture there too”. He said that we should not forget our Almamater, where we studied and attained knowledge, never forget our family and also never forget ourselves. Describing this, Mr  Manohar Lal said that 'not forgetting oneself' means that our behavior and values should also be good. We have to move ahead and rise to glory. You should come  here as an alumni and also contribute in advancing your educational institution.
  • Earlier, Director of  IIM Rohtak  Dheeraj P. Sharma, while  presiding over the function,  told the students that  integrity and ethical idealogy are important aspects for progressing in your career  as your future will depend on your behavior. He called upon the students to work towards excellence and strive to achieve excellence. He said that the convocation is not the end but the beginning of a new journey in your life, that is why in some countries the convocation is called a ‘Commencement.’
  • In the Convocation, Dr. Sonia was awarded the Best Researcher Scientist of SGT University and Mohit was awarded  Arun Jaitley Memorial Award.
  • On the occasion, Chancellor of the University Padmashree Ram Bahadur Rai, Chairperson Smt.   • Chandigarh, February 29 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today said that the budget of Haryana State was prepared after holding meetings with all Stakeholders, MPs, MLAs, and officials of various departments by taking their suggestions.
  • The Chief Minister interacted with media persons today at the Seventh Annual Convocation of SGT University, Budhera in Gurugram.
  • Answering the questions of the media persons, the Chief Minister said that work was being done to draft the budget since January 8, which is presented on February 28, 2020, Friday in the Legislative Assembly. He said that the officials of 18 departments took about 150 hours to prepare the budget.
  • The Chief Minister presented the state budget 2020-21 as Finance Minister.
  • The Chief Minister said that Gurugram is the most occupied/running city in NCR, with more traffic, industries and construction works than other cities. He said that the government is working on various aspects to keep the environment clean and beautiful here. The government is very serious and taking measures to ensure a healthy environment, he added
  • Chandigarh, February 29 - Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the state government is committed to ensure fair and cheating-free  exams across the state and directed  Deputy Commissioner (DCs) to ensure making Board Examinations cheating-free in their district concerned.
  • He said that strict action will be taken if any employee or official is found involved in indulge in cheating cases. He also directed the concerned authorities to set up a helpline and a control room at the district-level so that anyone can inform the police about such incidents during the examination.
  • The Chief Minister was giving necessary guidelines to the officers associated with Education, Health, Women and Child Development Departments of the state through video conferencing in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat in Karnal today. He said that it has been observed that the question papers are leaked, to prevent this, the papers should be kept in tight security. He said that the DCs should meet the officials and staff associated with the examination and give them necessary guidelines. 
  • He said that the future of the children will be at stake if they will involved in copying in the examination. He said that students can get degrees by cheating, but will not get confidence in life. The foundation of the education of the students should be good so that they have confidence in life when they join the main stream.
  • The Chief Minister said through video conferencing that Women's Day will be celebrated across the state on March 8 and efforts will be made to make women self-reliant, protect them and make them aware of their rights. A Pinkathon will be organized at the district-level on this day. NGOs, social organizations, college students, government women employees, women of community police will participate in this program. This Pinkathon will start at 7 am. Subsequently, a program for successful women will be organized at 10 am. At a state-level program to be held in Gurugram at 11 am, the Chief Minister will discuss issues related to women. He informed that these programs will also be organized at the subdivision level and by organizing Gram Sabha on Women's Day.
  • Giving information through video conferencing, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the deficiency of anemia is being found in children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. For this, a nutrition campaign should be carried out by the Women and Child Development Department, Education Department, Health Department and Panchayat Department. A special campaign will also be conducted from March 8 to March 22 for the same. 
  • Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that all officers should study the budget related to their department and should get the previous works completed and prepare for new projects. He said that this budget is the budget of the general public. To prepare this budget suggestion from 18 departments, stock holders, panchayati raj institutions, local bodies, women's organizations, representatives of agro-industrial units, legislators and MPs were taken.
  • Chief Minister Manohar Lal told the media that in the last 5 years, there has been a lot of improvement in the standard of education in the state. The quality of education has improved in districts like Mewat and Nuh. He said that this year the focus of the budget is on education and the aim of the government is only to make the future of children bright.
  • In the video conferencing, DGP Mr. Manoj Yadava assured the Chief Minister that all possible efforts will be made by the Haryana Police to ensure that the board examination will be cheating-free. He instructed the police officers of the district to make special arrangements for PCR during examinations in rural areas and urban areas so that a heavy police force should be deployed during the examination.
  • Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani, Chairman, Mr. Jagbir Singh, said that extensive arrangements have been made by the Haryana Education Board to make the exams cheating-free. Flying squads have been formed at the district-level and all District Deputy Commissioners have also been instructed to impose Section 144 of the CrPC near the examination centers.
  • In the video conferencing, Haryana Chief Secretary Ms. Keshni Anand Arora assured Chief Minister that instructions will be given for the implementation of the schemes and they will be completed on time.
  • The Principal Secretary of Education Department, Dr. Mahavir Singh also gave information about the arrangements made by the department regarding the Board Examinations and said that in any case, cheating will not be allowed.
  • Chandigarh, February 29- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that India International Horticulture Market (IIHM) in Ganaur, Sonipat will be functional by August this year. For this, 196 meters long and 56-meter wide shed is ready in the first phase and 48 shops will soon be started in this shed.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal was interacting with media persons during the inspection of the India International Horticulture Market (IIHM) today.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said that the IIHM will create provide job opportunities not only for the people of this area but also for the state. 
  • He said that the first phase of the shed has been completed, in which shops will be provided with all facilities for the traders, accommodation for those who bring goods, parking and other necessary facilities. He said that the construction work will be completed by April. The allotment and other works will be completed subsequently in the next two months by preparing the policy for the market and business will start from August.
  • The Chief Minister said that this is a very big project and it will be completed phase-wise. Earlier, Mr. Manohar Lal along with the officers inspected the shed and instructed the officers that all arrangements should be made in order to ensure that traders, farmers, and customers do not face any difficulty in the market.
  • During this time, the Chief Minister inspected the land acquired for the Mandi. Along with this, he also took a look at the land for 171 people living illegally on Mandi land. The people living illegally will be allotted two marla plots at a price of Rs 1 lakh 66 thousand. In this regard, the Chief Minister gave instructions to prepare the report.
  •        After this, Chief Minister Manohar Lal also visited Sri Rishi Chaitanya Ashram of Anandamurthy Guru Maa, where he visited the Guru Mandir. He also visited the Saptarishi Auditorium.
