  • Employees have been directed not to punch biometric attendance till further orders.
  • It has been decided that employees who fall into the vulnerable category, including outsourcing workers, such as employees over the age of 50 years suffering from some health problems and pregnant women, will work from home. No employee shall leave his station without the prior permission of the competent authority.
  • Directions have been given to provide all employees with sanitizers and masks.
  • The government had decided to extend the services of medical and para-medical staff and other essential services employees, whose retirement was due on March 31, 2020.
  • Ex-gratia amount of Rs 50 lakhs for doctors, Rs 30 lakhs for nurses and Rs 20 lakhs for other employees, whether permanent employees or on contract.
  • Approval for appointment of technical staff (doctors and trained personnel) in government and government aided medical colleges of the state on contract basis for a period of at least three months.

  • Insurance of Rs 30 lakh on death of police personnel engaged in direct struggle against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
  • All the persons working in the state, who are not covered under the Central Government scheme under the Ex-gratia Scheme, will also be covered by the state government, under which Rs. 50 lakh to doctors, Rs. 30 lakh to nurses, Rs. 20 lakh to paramedics and class IV workers will be given the benefit of Ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh.
  • Life insurance cover of Rs 10 lakhs till June 30, 2020 for Anganwadi workers, Asha workers and sanitation workers giving duty in containment zones.

  • Under outsourcing policy contractual women employees to get maternity leave facility at par with permanent women employees from December 9, 2019.

  • Under the "New Ex-gratia Scheme", if a government employee dies before the age of 52 years, the dependent will get a job on compassionate grounds. The new scheme will come into effect from August 1, 2019.
  • The kin of the missing government employee will be entitled to get compassionate benefits, six months after the registration of the FIR. Earlier this benefit was given after a period of seven years.
  • The decision to increase the ex-gratia grant amount from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 lakh to the family of the deceased government employee.
  • The decision to give house rent allowance or government accommodation to the family of the deceased government employee was increased from a period of one year to two years.
