  • A package of 1200 crore has been announced by Government to help the poor persons during COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • As many as 6,23,108 families covered under the ‘Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojna (MMPSY) and given a financial assistance of Rs. 4000 per family. Rs. 211.62 crore has been given.
  • A financial assistance of Rs. 34.74 crore has been given to 69000 unorganized workers at a rate of Rs.1000 per week.
  • Free ration costing Rs. 154 crore distributed under ‘Antyodaya Anna Yojana’ and ration was also given separately to BPL and other poor families for three consecutive month’s i.e April, May and June, 2020.
  • Under this scheme, 58,062 MT Wheat and 2512 MT pulses given to 1.20 crore members of 27 lakh families.
  • Families covered under ‘Antyodaya Anna Yojana’, got 35 kg wheat, 2 liters mustard oil, and 1 kg sugar, 1 kg pulses and 1 kg salt.
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, because of lockdown, migrant labourers stranded in Haryana and poor families of the State, who do not have a valid ration card, were issued Distress Ration Tokens. Likewise, 13 lakh members of 4.86 lakh families were issued Distress Ration Tokens after which they got free of cost ration in which 5 kg wheat per person and one kg pluses per family was given for two months i.e. May and June 2020.
  • As many as 3,50,621 workers registered under Haryana Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board given a financial help of Rs. 175.31 crore at the rate of Rs.1000 per week in five weekly installments. Their monthly pension is increased from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 2750.
  • The State Government approved an amount of Rs. 550 crore for MGNREGA workers for the year 2020-21. The first installment of Rs. 133 crore was released.
  • 585 relief camps were set up for labourers and poor, in which 91,200 labourers were provided free lodging, food and medicine facilities.
  • 2,69,41,037 food packets were made available to the poor and needy. Every week 10,44,250 dry ration packets were also given.
  • Under ‘Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Scheme’ an amount of Rs. 1.81 crore given as wages.
  • Under ‘Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission’ free food is being provided to the needy.
  • A decision has been taken to give a loan amount of Rs. 15000 at rate of interests of 2 percent only for starting small business to around three lakh poor people in the state.
  • An amount of Rs. 7.09 crore has been spent to send back at their home states more than 3,18,411 people through 90 trains and 5188 buses
