  • Every year on May 11, it has been decided to celebrate National Technology Day in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics and Engineering Institutes across the State.
  • To organize National Technology Day-2019, a sum of Rs 3.20 lakh was released to 19 Technical Institutes.
  • Land survey is being organized in Gurugram/Faridabad to establish Science City for the National Capital Region in Haryana. This science city will be constructed at a cost of about Rs191 crore with technical and financial assistance from the Government of India.
  • The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in collaboration with the State Government has approved the proposal to establish a science center on 5 acres of land in Ambala. The center will be set up by the National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata at a cost of more than Rs 30 crore, out of which Rs 6.55 crore will be borne by the Government of India and the remaining amount will be borne by the State Government.
  • Science clubs are being set up in 10 Senior secondary schools in each district. These science clubs will play an important role in creating scientific thinking and awareness among young students.
  • Two Exposure Visits were organized for the meritorious students. On January 16, 2020, 60 students / teachers were taken to the National Science Center of Delhi and 48 students / teachers were taken to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala during January 28-30, 2020.
